About Us

Balmain East Out of School Care (BESC) is a not-for-profit, community-run provider of before-school, after-school, and vacation care services. We are located in the library of Nicholson Street Public School.

Everyone is Welcome

Our services are available to children from all schools.

 

Our exciting vacation care programs are available to anyone including families located beyond Balmain, Rozelle, Birchgrove, Lilyfield, Annandale and Drummoyne.

​

We are an accredited provider and registered with the Family Assistance Office (FAO). Our services are eligible for the Childcare Rebate Subsidy, and you are encouraged to contact Centrelink to check your eligibility and benefits.

The centre is owned by its members and operated by a volunteer Management Committee. A full-time director oversees the day-to-day operations, supported by accredited staff as needed.
