Our Values
-
We believe our Centre should be a fun and supportive environment where everyone is welcome.
-
We aim to provide a safe, healthy and caring environment where every child can feel comfortable, accepted, and valued regardless of ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, or socio-economic background.
-
We provide the opportunity for play. We believe that play is vital to develop the potential of all children. We encourage individualism and independence and provide activities to stimulate each child's social, cognitive, physical, and creative skills.
-
We encourage feedback to ensure our Centre is meeting the needs of the children and families that utilise our service through daybooks, surveys and informal conversations with parents.
-
We promote and maintain positive communication and open relationships between staff, children, families, schools, and communities.
-
No one will be discriminated against on the basis of his or her cultural background, religion, sex, disability, marital status or income. The Centre ensures that it is accessible to children and parents from differing cultures and languages, and encourages children to enjoy activities free from discrimination. The Centre takes a cross-cultural approach to activities within the Centre and incorporates these into programming.
-
The Centre has a commitment to working towards an acceptance of children with disabilities within the service. Children may need to be assessed to determine if the service is able to meet their individual needs. Every effort will then be made to meet what is required.
